El Misti Hostel is located in the neighborhood of Botafogo, in an extremely quiet dead end street closed to cars, only a few meters away from every kind of public transportation available, be it the subway or the bus. By staying in Botafogo you will be on a strategic position within Rio, since you will be a short distance away from the beaches, the downtown area, Lapa, and very close to the Sugar Loaf and the ravishingly beautiful neighborhood that surrounds it, called Urca.

Botafogo is one of the most traditional and safe neighborhoods in town; it is a place where it is still possible to see and breathe the authentic carioca spirit without ever feeling like a tourist, for here all are locals without much of an effort. And Botafogo has also many things to offer, like its vibrant cultural side, filled with bars restaurants and theatres. In our street, for example, you can still see small children playing soccer and the elderly quietly playing their cards on concrete tables.

Taking into account the preferences and needs of our guests, El Misti Hostel Rio offers different kinds of accommodations. We have private rooms with bathrooms or not, shared rooms with three, six or up to nine beds that can be co-ed or exclusively for women. All that within an environment that is clean, warm and laid back, according to the harmonious and tropical Brazilian lifestyle. Included in our services you will find the linen, our already famous breakfast, and also the possibility of tasting every night the wonderful home-style dinners prepared by our chef as well as the exotic drinks made by our exclusive bartender.

We offer internet services, and if you bring your own notebook, you can use our wi-fi for free. and We also have a library where you can exchange your books for others, as well as a chill-out room with board games like chess and a non-stop music selection that delights all our guests.
